little tag! Not quite the normal lyrics but sparkling all the same! Good morning and welcome to a new week, my blog and the new challenge theme over at Simon Says Stamp & Show! We are in the mood for a bit of the shiny stuff... So if you fancy adding a touch of glitter, join in.
I'm not really a glitter gal and it's waaaaaaaaay too early to even whisper any festive utterings so I went for a last dive into my Summer Distress Inks to enjoy some colour and create a bright and funky tag. Remember... glitter is for life, not just Christmas.
Life is very busy indeed at Chez La-De-Dah as my baby Ruby approaches three months. We've had a bit of a rough start to say the least, and free time is a precious thing, so enter the joys of a tag. Room enough to have fun and petite enough to create a mini work of inky art! So if you are pushed for time or a bit stressed, grab a tag and get thee some inky therapy!
I blended the Summer Distress inks onto a Manilla tag and then used them all for the over-stamping too which gives a great uniform result. l die-cut three hearts, inked them up and then ran them through my Big Shot using the Retro circles embossing folder.
I added a touch more ink to highlight the texture and then a good coat of Antique Linen Distress Stickles. It gives a nice subtle sheen of glitter without being too OTT. l added a few lines of stitching as I feel it gives the hearts a sort of
grounding, then finished off with a couple of ChitChat stickers and a
big painty 'love' all thanks to my stash of Grungeboard letters. Just
blob on the paint and edge with ink for more emphasis. See you can use those Summer Distress colours all year round. Mmm, I
think I might be going for bright and funky "Sshhhh don't say it yet"
cards later this year.

Hope Ruby is ok and also that your looking after yourself. 3 months that has gone really fast, but I bet it's gone slower for you.
