What's on your workdesk Wednesday?

Hello Wednesday, do give us a twirl... Looking sunny from here and we Brits will take all we can get. Tis the mid week moment of showing your crafty zone thanks to Dame Stamping Ground Julia. Veteran or rookie, OCD or disaaaahster, splodger or seamstress, feel free to join in and let many a damsel and gent (Neil!) have a peek...
Not quite as frantic as usual in this shot as I was working on cards and had to keep the contamination to a minimum... Behind me is another story. I'm a stickler for clearing up each night but a very bad girly when it comes to stamp cleaning and filing. Sigh.
Art journal play time is in full flow and so are blue hands. This page is just a bit of fun unless I decide to write a few off key female lines...
From inky splatters to mellow yellow. This week at Less is More it's a yellow thing so I went all summery and girly and enjoyed rustling up two cards. Snip, stick and stamp. Sometimes you don't need anything more. Bunting is always cheery...
and even more so in such a yummy colour.
I hand stitched the line and added the words with my old typewriter.
l found some dare I say it, cute, 99p stamps at Hobbycraft ages ago. Studio G i-Cling methinks. I suddenly remembered them and thought this would work. Love Ranger Saffron Archival ink! I punched the centres from design paper and machine stitched the stems.
A bright sunny flower can really cheer up your desk and day and I quite enjoyed tinkering with these two girly creations! Thank you so much to everyone who called by last week and congrats to Vickie aka Okienurse in Ooooooh Oklahoma, who wins the Craft Stamper magazine!
Now that's enough waffle so I'm signing off...

Until another desk and day. Sarah.

  3. Hi Sarah,

Yellow is my favorite color! When I was in high school I managed to convince my parents that I needed yellow shag carpet in my bedroom!! Walls of course were yellow too. That being said -- I LOVE your cards.

That journal page is pretty spectacular too.

I'm sure I'll be in the triple digits by the time I link up to Julia.

    Happy WOYWW
    Hugs,
    Kay

  34. Inspiring work Sarah, I wish I had a bit of the gotta clean up in me LOL. I enjoyed your post to Ms Julia, didn't understand much of it, would love to see the translated version. You are an entertaining girl.

  35. I've never made roman blinds but Jo has made lots so she is the best one to ask about them....she gets blind kits and say they are pretty easy to make but doesn't usually make for others cos you really need to be able to measure and work out fabric pattern repeats to get them to look right.

  36. I love your bright and cheerful (and girly?!) cards. I'm not so into yellow because to me it always washes out, but you've really made it pop and shown me that it can work. I have good intentions to tidy my desk more often than I do. Once I get a good clean in, I tend to upkeep it for a bit. Then it falls apart... ah well, it's all fun!

  37. Love the journal page, but I have to ask, what is this stamp cleaning you speak of?

your sunshine cards are indeed a tonic for any space they occupy, i do like the journal, and yes inappropriate words are going begging at the moment - I must remember to share some shots of this years calendar i have ,

an example?( and you need to see the images to really get the laugh)

    - Lactose is not the only thing I do not tolerate.....

would you like toast to go with that smug smile?

is the floor the only thing that recently got laid here?
